A Conversation for GG: Chicken and Egg - a rational answer

Gnomon, I was not attacking your entry, I tried to enhance it by adding another way to a logical answer.
And in your last summary you very clever evade the fundamental difference. You only talk about an egg, without specifying whether it is a chicken-egg (because it hatches a chicken) or a protochicken-egg (because it is laid by a protochicken). But by your reasoning it seems to me that the development of a chicken inside a protochicken egg is the most accurate description.
Can you have both possibilities in the entry, or would that spoil it?

Gnomon - time to move on Posted Dec 4, 2003
That's a good article, and I'd like to put a link to it. But I'm wary of putting links to articles on the web, because they often move around and the links become dead ones. Is this particular site a reliable one?

Isn't an argument is only as good as its weakest link?

I think that the AIR site will be around for a good while yet....there's no end to human stupidity, or even the fools who'll fund it.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
