I've joined the FTA as well but I'd appreciate any sort of info you guys can give. Maybe a sort of "
s for 
s" type thing. Like what are quests and where do I start. How do I get the various powers. Etc. etc.
At this point I'm still simply in the move & bite stage. I do have over 100 blood and have 27 coins so that's a plus.

Batty, for the moment the only thing you can do is biting as much humans as you can get, they are your only source of coins.
Bank them when you have over a hundred, banking earlier looses too many APs with running to and from banks.
Get a map and Alleyway from the FTA so you can plan and keep a note how many coins you banked. I keep this on my excel-map together with my location.
The FTA messages will give an impression of the troubles waiting you when you decide to go for Thievery(1) so try to wait until the guide moves to an empty part of the city. Avoid the blue hell near the North-West corner (near Aardvark & 3 usually).

Batty, take the transit to Thalia (3 APs, 5 coins (or the other way around) to come to the pub at Yew & 78. It's crawling with humans here. I see 6 in my 9 squares, just had a square with 4.
Only out of APs now
And the guilds may move anytime now, they have mostly been stationary for 14 days, where they usually move every 4 days.
