Blackberry Cat , if one wishes to remain an individual in the midst of the teeming multitudes, one must make oneself grotesque Posted Feb 24, 2004
Late as usual, but always looks right at funerals, Blackberry saunters in, "Did I miss anything?"

A poem for you Cat-Eyes. Its by Gavin Ewart and seemed appropriate. I hope you like it.
When the Cats Leave
(Victorian Values)
We shall miss the little faces
in the long-acustomed places.
Yes, it will be so.
There'll be empty chairs and tables
like the long-left-empty stables
when the horses go.
All the jumping up and purring
will no longer be occurring;
and the plaintive miaows,
irritating and endearing,
will not persecute our hearing
like a lover's vows-
catstyle lobbying and pleading
when the time comes round for feeding.
Silence there instead.
We are overlords, cats peasants.
Their fertile furry feline presence
meant that time, like lead,
never hung too heavy for us.
Cats like that could never bore us.
Ali Bongo, Funk.
Funk could open fridges, Ali
had the highest birdcatch tally.
Sober cats or drunk,
feral cats or cat show beauties,
scratching cats or calm cuties,
couldn't equal them.
It was character that counted,
attributes that all amounted
to creme de la creme.
honoured cathood! Day of sadness!
We shan't see them go with gladness-
each an honoured guest-
we at waving tails departing,
will find our eyes just slightly smarting,
we shall feel depressed.
