skimming that thread the thought which occurs to me is: dare I ever put an entry in for "peer review"* again? 
(I'm not posting this for validation)
*purely academic point: could this be somewhat of a misnomer sometimes? That thread wasn't an example of a 'peer' review, since the reviewers didn't appear to consider the reviewee a peer. But I only skimmed it.

Downs a quick 
having just finished Terry Pratchetts' "Thief of Time", another good book by the man, and plenty of 
reference to make you peckish.
