Hi Amy - thanks for clearing that up!
I haven't been out today, but the wind sounds pretty severe!

The wind doesn't seem so bad here and the rain has eased off sufficiently for the fireworks to start again. There must be lots of spare money in this part of Leeds - the garden displays are better than the official ones. I'm just sitting here on the top of a hill in my study enjoying everyone else's expenditure.

Tbere's certainly more spare money in Leeds than in Bradford! But I'm going out for a RL later, so perhaps I'll see some fireworks then.
In the meantime - a of Drumroll, please.

It's started to rain heavily again but the fireworks continue. We're reduced to the not-so-pretty-but-very-loud ones now. It seems to have become something of a local competition. It just goes to show that nothing can come between a yorkshireman and his love of high explosives.

Yes, I'm now hearing explosions mixed with the sound of pouring rain. I'm surprised that anyone can light any fireworks tonight!

Southampton's flooded!
I found this out whilst trying to walk here from home, only to find all the roads closed under knee-waist high water. So I decided to take the short-cut through the forest. Yep - through Southampton Common without any lights when it's flooded, and after several trees had blown down blocking the path. Quite an experience, but fun.

*having not been in for weeks looks round warily to see if anythings changed*
Still raining in Sneffiela too...the road over there is turning into a very attractive river and the woods over there are being happily blown over...but I can't complain when you look at the rest of Yorkshire as that's terribly flooded.
Whilst I'm in here can I have a well overdue please

Well done BB
Umm it's a hypothetical ad which if it were to exist may be promoting a certain band which menza has a strong dislike for

Very intriguing... I see no bright blue ads!
But well done for kicking off the second half of your essay, BB.
Any chance of another ?

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Nov 5, 2000
Well if it was a real ad which it isn't it'd probably be repeatedly showing itself to me in the Servery thread but as it's only hypothetical as no-one would dare promote that band in front of Menza you might not find it if you were to check there
