Nah he meant Dawson's Geek, he'll have a little rowing boat and everything for rowing down rivers...

*eyes Menza suspiciously*
Are you laughing at me?
Cookie
The Fish Posted Nov 28, 2000
Menza would never do a thing like that...
But you could certainly laugh at him...

There were quite a few events at the meet-up that are a lot more laughable than anything Menza did

What were you there? You never told me that...
*runs off to smirk at new photos safe in the knowledge that there won't be any of her looking foolish*

It was a bit of a last minute decision - I'd just moved into my flat in London, and wasn't really sure until quite late in the day whether I'd be able to make it. To be fair my intention of being present was fully advertised on the sign-up list for the event!
Next time I'll remember not to show up in a public place with lots of people with digital cameras after a year of high-stress, low-stability, zero-exercise living... I don't think I've ever seen photos of me looking quite so unhealthy!

Oh come on it can't be that bad...which one are you? Are you in that photo with Menza's nose...
*mutters about having missed everyone*

I can't believe that people aren't talking about the photo where Peta's eyes are being freaky here:

although yes, it does have Menza's nose in too.

Having looked again some of the other photos, I'm more concerned about the origin of the glowingness on this one...
http://www.btinternet.com/~scifibloke/h2g2/meetup/DSC00058.JPG
From whence does the glowing appear?

...And exactly why did MyRedDice write an article on how to make a plastic bag bra, and then enter the h2g2 Bikini Competition:

?????

Actually that's an interesting point you raise there...
*gets out a flip chart and slide machine*
The instructions for said carry-a-bag bra seemed very intriguing to my friend and I at 3am on Saturday morning so we set about attempting to make one...
*points to step 4 on the instruction sheet*
Sadly they are less than easy to make unless you are completely sober and...
*points to example (a)*
I had to be chopped out with scissors as I couldn't understand the arm hole instructions and got it stuck round my head.
*folds up the pointing stick*
Now maybe it's because we were both wearing large coats at the time as it was very cold but what I'd like to know is whether there's a height limit as both of us tried and neither of us could understand what to do...
*waits for an "Idiots guide to making a plastic bag bra" *
Well???

I must admit that I wasn't able to understand the instructions when I had a glance through the article either - but then, I didn't actually try to make one.
