Hmmm, swimming in beer would make me all sticky though especially if it was cheap beer and then I'd get attacked by wasps and that'd make me squeal so then you'd have me running round the bar squealing and crashing into things which could never be a good thing

It was supposed to be a yard of ale, people. I think I'll stick to my G|_|s.

Oh...I guess it could have been a yard of ale...
*passes Bagpuss a G|_|*
And thanks for the advertising but I didn't want to go swimming that was the point to start with...still I'll bear that in mind if it ever gets warm again

Thought it must be something like that, very sophisticated. How about one of those fancy straws, though? \&/

So that's what it is...I thought it was a vague vodka cocktail
Now I know I'm getting a swizzle stick I'm going to have to start ordering a lot more, can you get them with those little umbrellas in too?

I just made that one up. I was going to do a brolly, but the nearest I can manage is \?/. Perhaps you'd like a slice of lemon, though: *

It's better than \*/, which is the starfish floating in your drink, as served at dodgy seaside places (probably)

It's the hammerhead shark clinging to your leg you want to worry about (in this hypothetical dodgy seaside dive, I've read the guidance on posting to conversations and don't wish to set an imaginary shark loose in this pub).

Y'know I really should've read those guidance thingies when I got here as I reckon many things would make much more sense
So in this hypothetical seaside dive place of shoddyness do they have a really poor 'discothéque' with flashing lights and glitter balls?

Bagpuss Posted Sep 23, 2000
Probably. If you listen to Mark and Lard, do you remember their school discos slot?
