I find that newer posts, latest and skip aren't working properly either, and does anyone else have problems if they move to a different thread and then hit reload - it goes to the one you moved from?

That's true, if you click one of the Other Conversations it doesn't update the URL in the status bar, but I haven't been having any problems with my homepage not updating...
