I saw that previewed at Lunch time and made a mental note not to watch it Ummm is it the one at Gatecrasher? I'm not going to that but I'm just trying to think which one you mean as I've not seen any others advertised that I can think of... or maybe at the Arena/ Don Valley...they always stick everything in there

Dunno what's happening at Gatecrasher (though that state of affairs is unlikely to last long - a friend of mine does the lights at those). The one I was talking about is in the city centre, and, no, it hasn't been advertised much. There are about 1000 tickets left.

Knowing Sheffield it'll either be 1000 or several million
*giggles*
Hey CW have you seen the festive decorations on the back of Ponds Forge but kind of on the transport interchange building? After about a week of being up they now say "Welcome to Sneffield"
What is love?
Cakewalker Posted Dec 23, 2000
*lol* Typical. Why didn't someone vandalise those ghastly plastic santas? Still, Sneffield's sounds rather like an upmarket London department store, so it could be worse

Aye, it could say Sneffiela like the sign from the M1 does
The santas are too high up so no-one can reach them, and I don't think that signs been vandalised anyway just that the bulbs have gone
Oooh and have you seen the festivities in Meadowhall? They've got rid of the traditional dancing snowmen/teddybears and now have many bearded Elves with Yorkshire accents singing festive songs and climbing ropes...
What is love?
Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Dec 23, 2000
*grins*
But I imagine they'd be better at singing... and nope I still think bearded elves with Yorkshire accents were scarier

*grimaces at the thought of Meadowhall actually managing to top the tastelessness of the previous few years decorations*
Bleugh! That sounds horrible, either way. Thankfully I haven't been to Meadowhall. For *ages*. Doesn't seem worth it - especially when they've got proper buskers in town and someone from my juggling club juggling fire. Far more interesting

Why does the phrase "juggling fire" provoke this feeling of impending doom?
What is love?
Cakewalker Posted Dec 24, 2000
Oh, don't worry, I saw him extinguish them and pack them away quite without injuring people. Mind you, the bus he caught home exploded...

Well, I always say you should fight fire with fire. That's why I was thrown out of the fire brigade.

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Dec 24, 2000
That's a song that is...
*sings*
Not been to Meadowhall in ages? How do you cope without a weekly pilgrimage to the shops and the Warner Brothers cinema with Jelly dispenser
And I definitely think they've topped the tasteless decorations, having said that one of the other shopping centres has a singing rock so I don't think they've done much better
So are you juggling fire too? Is it up near the Moor or in the centre as I'll wave when I wander past? You'll be able to spot me by the fairy wings and wand
