Right, we have to rename the F&F.

*places cushon behind EV so he doesn't bang his head when he hits the floor*

But first we need some half decent suggestions, so I'll start the ball rolling with a slightly lame one.

How about The Rest's Tentacle? smiley - winkeye

Seriously, in the US we're having an explosion of micro-breweries. I'm actually planning an entry on the Appalachian Brewing Company (they make some fine beers).

So why not 'the h2g2 brewing ocmpany'.

Hmmm.... Is there anything against copyright with "The F&F"?
Or keeping to those initials?

I was hoping to try to keep the initials, Peta said there was no problem with them in themselves, it was just what they stood for. So we could try to come up with something that leaves the same acronim. smiley - smiley

Fish & Fingers?
Food & Frolicks?

Why doesn't "Beer" begin with an F?

Cos then it would be called "feer", which would be too scary. smiley - silly

I can think of some words that start with "f", but I don't think we'd be allowed to use them either.

I'll have to check with Peta about which part of the name we have to change, the "Forum &" bit might be OK.

I don't understand, Firkin is a perfectly good English word - it's even in the Concise Oxford

firkin, n. Small cask for liquids, butter, fish etc etc.;(as measure) half of kilderkin.
[15th c. ferdekyn prob. f. M Du (vierde foruth, -KIN)]

Is it some sort of transnational comglomerate trademark or something?

There is a collection of micro-breweries that name all their outlets "F####### & Firkin".

Where the ##### can often be replaced by words such as "Forgery", "Footage" and there is at least one known instance of "Forum". Hence the problem.

It's quite safe - I know of at least 4000 pubs with Head in the name so it'd have to be banned.
