Spiffing idea for an award. In my house we call the the 'can you identify this body part?' people. Hold up your arm and point to your elbow. Ask them to identify the body part. Most will guess 'arse', cause they can't tell the difference.
P'raps we can have some offical choclate teapots made up to present to them...

Someone at the University of Arizona Administration needs this award. Since begining classes in the fall I've been attempting to find out how on earth one goes about declaring a minor. I sent an eMail to the college of humanities (the people who are handling my Major) and they sent me to this wonderful webpage that told me what minors were available, how many credits I needed for each one and even what specific classes would satisfy the requirements of these minors, but no where did it mention how somebody would actually declare the minor itself. I sent an eMail to the Fine Arts College because what I wanted was a Theatre Arts minor, and dutifully they sent me back a link to the very same web page that Humanities had given me. I asked the Assistant Dean of the College of Fine Arts who happened to be teaching a class I was in, and she said I should get in touch with the head of the Theatre Arts department, to whom I sent an eMail and recieved a response -- over a week later -- telling me that this person was on vacation. At some point the College of Humanities told me I had to attend some sort of information seminar about registering for classes. Once there I asked the person at the front of the room the same question I'd been asking since August. Aparently this person had actually been informed about such things, and told me what I needed to do was to go to the Freshman Year center and fill out a change of MAJOR form. ::points:: What body part is this?

Hmmmm...at my school, AFAIK, you don't have to declare a minor--just complete the required courses and let them know you've done so right before you graduate so it gets noted on your transcript. Maybe it's the same at UofA.

It's supposedly more structured here. I'm trying in vain to work in a pun about "contributing to the delinquency of a minor", but I can't make it fit. Oh well.

More structured? That sounds suspicious to me. My school supposedly has the largest bureacracy anywhere. "If there's anything more structured than our bureaucracy around, I want it caught and shot now."
And as for your failed pun attempt, I'm sure it's only a minor setback.

Ouch. I bow to your superior wordplay. Anyway, I didn't mean more burocratic, I meant that there was suposed to be am clearer path. Clearer usually emplies less burocracy.

Ah. When you said "more structured" I thought of bureaucracy as being more structured than not. But you're right, it certainly doesn't make things clearer.
And thank you.

I haven't heard of anyone who does smilies...I just figured it might be the same person. But if it isn't, then I've got no idea.

I think MenzA@@e does them, but I don't know if there is a Devilish Smiley. Getting them set up on H2G2 is another matter , you would probably have to ask one of the editors to sort it out.

Yes, I'm not sure how it would work on the forums, anyway... I an't figure out a good combination for it...
