Master B: "Objection! Didn't Desk outlaw this kind of practice?"
i wasn't aware of it, and i already made such a prediction when, needing a lot of points on the last day, i went for the long odds. 0-0 is not a good pick generally (except in france, where 8 goals were scored in 10 matches this week!) but the clearest way to a FH.

I don't recall outlawing it. I know I did say that it was a very silly prediction to make. Occasionally one would get an excellent week and rack up loads of points, but that in no way would make up for the weeks that you'd fall flat on your face.

GreyDesk Posted Apr 16, 2007
And to prove that strategy's futility, I've just done a quick check on the scores to the end of week 15. By my calculation you'd be on 57 points and effectively dead last with an all nil-nil strategy.

Oh, I've not marked this one
Sorry. I could have sworn that I did this last weekend.
It will have to wait for a bit longer as I'm shortly heading out the door in the direction of South East London

Bad choice of direction there GD. There's nothing out that way except *shudder* Lahndahn.

It was quite alright. I met up with a couple of mates before the game for a drink just round the corner from The Valley. Obviously I'm the one who has to go to the bar as I'm the only one with a convincing southern accent. The other two sound like they've just stepped out of a Yorkshire coal mine; if of course there were any coal mines left in Yorkshire.

Demon Drawer Posted Apr 22, 2007
Just as long as they didn't also just look as if they'd walked out of a coal mine as well. I sure bathrooms are now de riguer in Yorkshire. Aren't they?
That said there is a coal mine currently being open casted about 6 miles from me in West Lothian. Before they develop the site for housing and two golf courses.

Seven points. That's the message of this week. It seemed that every selection came in with seven points. It was most strange
Then of course came me[Andy]g with eight points, and scooped the weekly prize
In other news riotact's all nil-nil selection blew up in his face and comes in last with zero.
And in other news there has been one switch in the table where I have overtaken B
Key: Complain about this post
