They are HUGE water dwelling rats. (well...to be kind...rodents.) They are about the size of an otter(but not cute, in the least), and spend there lives in search of whatever it is they eat in the murky waters of the Louisianna bayous.
Cajuns consider them a delicacy, but then, they also have the same opinion of any properly acquired "roadkill" as well!
I had a gir.....no....I best not go there. Monsy will be reading this and I have NO desire to camp on the couch tonight!!!
