The meanings of liff

I've just noticed something odd.
The meaning of liff is defined in The Meaning of Liff as being
'a book, the contents of which are totally belied by it's cover. For instance, any book the dust jacket of which bears the words 'this book will change your life'
but in The Deeper Meaning of Liff, liff is defined as a common object or experience for which no word yet exists. I can see how this definition would have come about, since the books are all about such words... but it's inconsistent with the original definition.
Does this mean that The Deeper Meaning of Liff (the book) is in fact a liff by the first definition? It doesn't provide a deeper meaning for liff, but a completely different one, and if length of definition is a measure of depth (a phrase which would confuse anyone who makes colour printers or furniture!) then it's a shallower definition.
So, what is the meaning of liff? And was that the ultimate question of liff, the universe and everything?
