I'll join, as long as no-one mentions Jar-Jar (except in the same sentence as hate).

Not a lot yet! Any ideas?
BTW: sory for the delayed response - I fell asleep while channel hopping a few hours ago.

We could... debate which is better, the original or new trilogies. Or discuss the games or books or... anything really.

And I'd better step forward too. Well done for starting this up - love the homepage.
Confession - my fave SW movie is Return of the Jedi, just because I love all the monsters in Jabba's palace.
Here's a thing. Star Wars is about a farmer's boy helping to destroy the death star.
Empire Strikes Back is about the boy learning the ways of the Jedi while his friends are betrayed.
Return of the Jedi is about the boy confronting the villain while his friends batle to destroy the second death star.
Now, I'm honestly trying hard here. I've seen each film in the new trilogy twice and I can't even tell you what they're about, aside from the birth of Vader.

Cool! We're a trilogy!
I think my favourite is still Empire - it's got so much more meat than Star Wars and a complete lack of small furry teddy bears, though at the time Jedi was my fave.
I know what you mean about Eps 1 - 3 but, after watching them in on sitting (I finally bought them all last week) I found the gradual change from the political focus to the Vader bit quite compelling.
My main problem with the recent ones is that they look a bit, er, saturated. The only comparison I can make is to overcompressing a mix (yep, guilty as charged). Also, large chunks of them look like they were constructed with a computer game in mind (the conveyor belt in Ep2 anyone?)
I think we need a thread for this sort of thing...

There's a new sign up thread, so this one's now a tad redundant.
