STAR A long time ago in a cinema just round the corner... These are dark days for the parents of young sci-fi nuts. Soon their wallets and handbags will be hassled in the quest for small lumps of plastic and their stair carpets will be worn down by seven year old boys charging up and down wielding imaginary lightsabres and blasters. At least they'll like the music. Not so long ago, in a multiplex just out of town... These are dark days for the now adult, settled down, child rearing former Star Wars fans. George Lucas gave a generation of grandparents the one thing they thought they would never have: revenge. The former Star Wars fans learned how it felt to have their wallets and handbags hassled in the quest for slightly larger lumps of plastic and their laminated flooring worn down by seven year old boys charging up and down wielding imaginary lightsabres and blasters and wanting to punch Jar-Jar Binks. At least they had nostalgia Han, Luke, Leia, Vader? If you can immediately say which one of those you were in your youth, this place is for you. Did you imagine yourself as Luke, bouncing about with a lightsaber? Or Han, being all counter-culture with a blaster? Leia, as she was the only female role model that popped up? C3PO? Or maybe you were Vader, in which case you probably head a large corporation now and are unlikely to be reading this... Star Wars came out of nowhere and changed the world. It was great; it is great; it will always be great. Sign up below and let's talk Star Wars.
