Any chance someone will start ICARUS again? 1st time here and I can identify with the concept. My 2 cents(for now...):
Being provided with a link for your page when there is already one on EVERY page.
No real-time chatroom.
Actually, that isn't fair, this not being the place to be critical of the Guide. I still love the place.
Anyways, saw this link on Shazz's page(Hi again, Shazz!), and had to look. See ya 'round!!

Well that's not to stop us from posting stupidity here, is it? On the news this morning, they had video of a 16 year old kid trying to jump over a car that his friends were driving toward him at 30-40 MPH. He didn't make it. His leg hit the windshield and he tumbled over the car, landing on his back. The kids say that they were making a video to send in to Jackass, a show on MTV. Well, the show has a statement at the beginning which states that they do not accept videos from viewers, and also not to try any of the stunts at home. PLUS, they've never tried that stunt on Jackass.
What pisses me off is that there are people blaming the show for what these kids did, (and there are also incidences of kids getting hurt trying to imitate the stunts done on the show). My question is: WHERE THE **** ARE THE PARENTS??!!!!! Wouldn't you say that they're to blame? I don't know, it's like the guy at the bar said tonight, people are just getting stupider(sic) every day.

Gosh! I missed all of this!
*Must remember to subscribe to Pages... smacked wrist*
Sadly, I haven't seen Icarus about for a long time now, so I can't see this starting again anytime in the near future, unless someone else takes it under thier wing of course!

Hey Shazz! Long time, no post... Here's one: President Bush gets elected and gives everyone a nice tax relief rebate last year. This year, he takes it back!!!!! WTF?

Oh boy, if I only knew!!!! No, I'm ok! I see you on ICQ once in a while, but never know what to say, it's been so long! I have a pretty good job now, and I'm still having as much fun as possible. I came back to H2G2 because I got an email from alicat. But as it has been in the past, no more have I heard from her. How goes it with you?

All going very well here.
I haven't got my own computer online atm, so haven't been on ICQ for about 3 months now... I bet I've got lots of messages stacked up to reply to!
Once I'm back, do message me, though. I'm always up for a natter as you know well.
Ali drops by here occasionally, but she is an infrequent mailer... she seems well also, thank goodness.

AS a favour to the site, I *may* be persuaded to take over the ICARUS role - although of course it'll be at a different A-number, was promted to this when someone made a new suggestions to my useless error message entry A191152
So maybe later this week, watch this space....icarus, may become a Pheonix

Drop the 'A' and use 'test' : h2g2/test12345
If it is a userspace (U) then use /h2g2/testuserspace12345
(third time of trying to post this!)
