yes this can be included as a guide to life but a neat subsection you would find under the heading desire. Its eventually going to be part of a degree i'm in the middle of...but this is the perfect forum to find like minded people to review

Well, this forum is supposedly for Guide entries. If you eventually intend to take it to PR, I'll try to give it a look-see. I wouldn't mind reading it anyway, usually, but am too busy now with RL.

Danni6a, I thnk you need to go back to that thread yourself first. You especially need to check post 2, asking you to read the Guidelines. Then check out post 5.

You know, I kinda like it how it is. Before we start pinching and squeezing this into a Guide entry, Wilma, do you think this is UnderGuide stuff?

Leo Posted Sep 27, 2006
Do.
*cough* Do you read the post?
A15677157 - Human Desire- Consumption, Class and
Wilma Neanderthal Posted Sep 27, 2006
Yes, I do, Leo
I also remembered this: A654969 which means this won't do at all for the Edited Guide as we already have an entry on consumerism.
What are you thinking? A series of articles or one big'un It will still need some prettifying though. You want to handhold this one? I've never prepped for the Post...

Leo Posted Sep 27, 2006
I've never prepped for the post either. This issue was my first ever contribution. And that was a narrative.
Furthermore, I currently limit myself to overguide stuff. Just not enough time, between two entries in PR, a Uni project, subbing, scouting, and RL.
'Fraid I'll have to demur.
Of course, perhaps we ought to explain our garble to the hardworking researcher before shoving her (?) entry around.

OOps, yes, of course
Danni6a, it turns out we already have an entry on consumerism in the EG> Leo, however *points to the genius* has come up with a brilliant idea.
Twice a month, hootoo publishes The Post on the Front Page. That is our very own publication packed full of gems and thought-provoking, entertaining stuff written by us, hootoo researchers (which is what you are now )
Leo actually put together the last issue and will hopefully tell us a tad about what we need to do.
I am happy to incubate this entry for The Post, Leo, if that is what Danni6a wants.

Leo Posted Sep 27, 2006
No, Leo did not. Leo just contributed one single article. But Leo has a vague idea of what goes in, and Echo and Shazz are readily available somewheres.
Anyway, There's this thing called the UnderGuide. It's for articles that are opinionated or thesis driven, unfactual, or simply odd. Wilma happens to be an UnderGuide miner, so she knows more about it than I do. *points to the hardhat*
There's also the Post, which she already described. Your article could go to either with a little polishing. But to get into the Edited Guide it would need to be reshaped, and I think that would ruin it.
So what da ya say?

sounds good.
*plops down next to Wilma*
*pulls out manuscripts for several entries and starts working on them*
Oh! Was this supposed to be a social tea?
