Lost on me *^_^*
"Living easy, living free
Season ticket on a one-way ride
Asking nothing, leave me be
Taking everything in my stride
Don't need reason, don't need rhyme
Ain't nothing I would rather do
Going down, party time
My friends are gonna be there too"

*shakes head*
"Moved on to another town
Tried hard to settle down
For every job so many men
So many men no-one needs"
Bit more mainstream?

You got the lyrics right, but it was Total Eclipse of the Heart -- Bonnie Tyler... Still waiting for her to come out with Tyre Tracks and Broken Hearts, though. Closest I've came to finding it was an mp3 'demo' from the PBS special where she sang it... ALW's 50th BD.

Pegasus - Don't Give Up, Peter Gabrial.
Pretty apt in here at times
Okay, I'll post some easier lyrics up here, the last two are still unguessed.

The easier ones:
Woke up this morning
and the streets were full of cars
all bright and shiny
like they'd just arrived from mars
and as I stumbled through
last nights drunken debris
the paperboy screamed out
the headlines in the street
another war and now the pound is looking weak
and tell me have you read about the latest freak?
we're bingo numbers and our names are obsolete
why do I feel bitter when I should be feeling sweet

And a REALLY difficult one
Est le mo chroi,
Go bronach a choich
Ta me cailte gan tu
's do bhean cheile.
An gra mor i do shaoil
Threorai si me.
Bigi liomsa i gconai
La 's oich
Bonus points to anyone who can get that one, the artist should be reasonaly easy if you get the language, but the song is a real stumper.

It's obviously Italian/French/Spanish/something-all-together-different.

Well you got one sone that uses the second set of lyrics (to the same song) I put up - ain't samplers great
What was the sampled song?
My new lyrics for you, following on from an earlier posted line
Woke up this morning,
Got myself a gun
Mama always said
I'd be the chosen one
Well you're one in a million
you got that shotgun shine
Born under a blue moon
with a bad moon on the rise

Anonymouse Posted Sep 17, 2000
Don't know, but whoever wrote it was obviously listening to CCR (Bad Moon Rising) when they wrote it.

And now playing:
I hope he's not like me
I hope he understands
That he can take this life
And hold it in both hands.

I think they were listening to a lot of things when they wrote that track. Was featured as the theme to a US TV prog.
Pastey, Hello (turn your radio on) Shakespears Sister.

Poor memory, Just checking what I put up earlier and the second bit should read...
She said, you're one in a million
you've got to burn to shine
but you were born under a bad sign
with a blue moon in your eyes
So I was nearly right

GR, Has anyone said Highway To Hell by AC/DC for your lyrics?
I was sat in a pub last night listening to an AC?DC tribute band play in the back room

Pastey Posted Sep 18, 2000
Yup, I got the the AC/DC one last night.
Yes, it is Hello from Shakespeare Sister.
As for the language, well I actually thought that it was Gailic.

I realised that one just after I posted my answer.
If you're tune is in gallic, is that scots of irish? If scots I'll guess that it's a Runrig tune. Other than that it could be lots of bands.
Key: Complain about this post
