Hmmm, bass players...
Steve Harris, Jack Bruce, Sid Vicious, the Geezer chap from Black Sabbath...uuuh...Chris Alymer, Tom Araya, Steve Winwood, Rick Grech, Nathan East...uuhh...and unless I go through all my Metal Hammers and Kerrang!s that's about it smiley - sadface

One of the greatest bands ever. Well, the Beatles? Iron Maiden? Cream? The Sex Pistols? Obviously not...don't tell me it's Metallica...

I dunno whether Mr Illsley could claim fame in his own right, I just thought he might be a familiar name to some. I'm sure your knowledge of music isn't this dire.

It was one of the biggest selling UK albums ever, and I believe went strait to number one!

Well, lorks, I dunno about album sales and that! I know Cream's Wheels of Fire (I think it was called that) was the first album to go platinum, ever, and Iron Maiden have had about 50-odd gold, silver and plat'num albums, but other than that I'm screwed!

Yeah, you got me beat *^_^*

If bass players are what you're after...

packed like lemmings into shiny metal boxes
contestants in a suicidal race
daddy grips the wheel and stares alone into the distance
he knows that something somewhere has to break

smiley - musicalnote Well if you told me you were drowning smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote I would not lend a hand smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote I've seen your face before, my friend smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote But I don't know if you know who I am smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote But I was there and I saw what you did smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote Saw it with my own two eyes smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote So you can wipe off that grin smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote I know where you've been smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote It's all been a pack of lies smiley - musicalnote

smiley - musicalnote Well I remember smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote I remember, don't worry smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote How could I ever forget smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote It's the first time, the last time, we ever met smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote But I know the reason why you keep this silence up smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote Though you don't know me smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote Well the hurt doesn't show smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote But the pain still grows smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote So strangers are you and me smiley - musicalnote

smiley - musicalnote And I can feel it smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote Coming in the air tonight smiley - musicalnote
smiley - musicalnote Oh lord smiley - musicalnote

Ok here's some more of mine the opening lines no less...

Another suburban family morning
Grandmother screaming at the wall
We have to shout above the din of our Rice Crispies
We can't hear anything at all

Singer (and bass player) worked on the above bands most major hit...
