Well Done zb! (about time like, but well done anyway)

".....tornado watches issued shortly before noon Sunday
For the areas including, the western region of my mental health and the northern portion of my ability to deal rationally with my disconcerted precarious emotional situation, it's cold out there, colder than a ticket taker's smile at the Iver Theatre on a Saturday night....."

Yes, I am Mike A, the Iron Maiden fan. However, I only have The Number Of The Beast on enhanced CD. My catalogue is made up mainly of Eric Clapton and his bands. Hence Behind The Mask in NTT2, as well as Invaders from up there. Personally, I hate those clips from Somewhere In Time. The stuff about death and evil and things like that have much more charm ie Run To The Hills, Invaders etc.
Tell you what, I'll give you a Maiden lyric, and you can tell me what the song's called and what album it's from.
Dead(?)with the dead in my dreams,
Listen to their hallowed screams,
The dead have taken my soul,
Temptation lost all control!
I think it's from Killers, but I'm not sure.

Hey I love that song, Tom Waits 'Emotional Weather Report'. I can't remember the album name though, I think it's an early one. I've only got a tape and it's a live version so if there is a studio version I'd love to know - TWF

Here's a lyric for the trainspotters -
"Up, down, turn around
Please don't let me hit the ground
Tonight I think I'll walk alone
I'll find my soul as I go home"

Wisest Fool - Tom Waits song is from ' Nighthawks At the Diner' a live album.. dunno if he did a studio version. And *damn* for getting that so quick!!

"All my books lie on the table waiting to unfold
I sit and stare at my reflection
while the darkness chills my bones
My head feels like a junk shop
In desperate need of repair
While the path of least resistance
leads to the garbage heap up there.."

It's Dead Skin Mask from the album Seasons in the Abyss by Slayer. Are you trying to catch me out?
NTT3
Mike A (snowblind) Posted Nov 2, 1999
Nope. My friend, the official Iron Maiden fan of my class, gave it to me along with a few other songs. He said it came from a tape that had absolutley no markings on it apart from 'Iron Maiden' scrawled on it.
He had no clue to what the songs where called, nor what album they were from. Cretin.
This is the same Iron Maiden fan who can't tell Aces High from Man On The Edge. He also can't recognise the difference between Eric Clapton and The Prodigy. Like I said, cretin.
So let me clear up on this Seasons In The Abyss. Does it have 5/6 songs on it? Is the first song about war?

Ack.. Well, I can see why no one got that.. Seems my fingers were a bit slow on the uptake with the song in my head and I wrapped up two verses nicely into one.
Try this:
There's a song on the loose
Sireens in my head
Wrapped up in silence
All circuits are dead
How can I be calm?
My whole life spins
Into the frenzy.

a few more word for mine, from the chorus as well...
"Stretching out on a summer's day,
Houston is calling me back to her"

That sounds right. I thought something was missing when he gave me the tape.
He is now hell bent on hunting down all trhings Slayer. I don't blame him. That is one stonking a-side!
Anyway, this is NTT3. I'll lay down something for ye.
"If you lose your money, pray to god don't lose your mind,
If you lose your money, pray to god don't lose your mind,
And if you lose your woman, please don't fool with mine."

I detect the blues here and suspect your displaying your knowledge of things Clapton, but I can't put my finger on it

eh Gads No!, get that man out of here
Some more as it doesn't seem to be recognised by all the old folks here...
"Lady take a ride on Zeke64, Jeremy wants to be a rockette,
That's a popular misconception, says we haven't seen anything yet
Laying down the lifeless corpse of President 35
The lady crying by his side is the most beautiful woman alive"

Close, but not quite. I can see why though. It's on the same album, and Clapton sang on it as well.
Key: Complain about this post
