If you are in the UK and you are hungry go to a Sainsbury's Supermarket. Pick up a basket and head for the delicatessen. There if you look around you will see a sign which says try before you buy - its free. Count how many differnet meats, salads, cheeses and other yummy things there are and start trying. You can't take anything away but you can eat it there and then.
I know someone who worked in the deli and said that there were often guys there at lunch time trying all sorts of stuff and then walking away empty handed.

You get fed if you get locked up but that may be a bit extreme I suppose.

Dress up in your finest suit, create some fancy business card (there are machines for that on large railway stations), then contact some retailer and start negotiating a large contract (say, 20 combine harvesters), but not too large (like aircraft carriers or nuclear power plants, this raises questions). Sure enough, as lunch time comes closer, you will be invited to a -- free lunch.

err, of course, *don't' sign anything, just excuse yourself for some consultation with the rest of your (imaginary) company.
