Well Stargate's a sci-fi but's it's hilarious in places as well. Go on youtube and search for it. It's the longest running sci-fi show in america. Then there's stargate atlantis a spin-off. Anyway every 100 episode they do s poof for instance the 200th episode in season ten they did a spoof of star trek, farscape, etc. see it all on yotube searh for stargate 200.

Physics. That's a problem. For example, Harry Potter magic and Discworld magic work in different ways. We'll have to find a way around that...

In HP, magic is there to be used straight away, and anyone can use it. In Discworld, a spell has to be memorised and put into a wizard's head, then it is good for one use only. Also, staffs need to be charged through meditation etc where wands don't. And it seems that only the senior wizards can used magc in any significant manner. And the eighth son thing And Sourcery.

Granny is, but when have Magrat, Nanny or Agnes done 'proper' magic? And besides, they use Headology a lot more than magic.
