A Conversation for Phantasy Phootball 2006-07
PP Update 15/10

A steady week, with a lot of teams scoring 10 points or thereabouts. Trout will be looking nervously over his shoulder as reigning champion and Phantasy expert, sprout, comes looming up into second. And, at the bottom, a nightmare week for Trin gives SBE a shouting chance of climbing off the bottom.
But the plaudits this week belong to our female competitor. Not only does Magwitch climb the table for the second week in succession, but she scores a weekly top of 12 points. Well done!

Didn't Rooney get assists for Man Utd's second and third goals, B?

BBC online doesn't mention who set up the second, just saying it was a 'flowing move', but the Observer says:
'...before a Rooney flick in stoppage time allowed Solskjaer to show his habitual composure and ensure the final score was a more accurate reflection of the game.' (http://observer.guardian.co.uk/sport/story/0,,1922769,00.html)

Stop trying, Rich
You and I know, B's decision is final!
Anyway, uglyface shouldn't get *any* points until he scores unaided!
For his country!

I'm not saying B is wrong... just that his information is... misguided
Come on, give me a break. I was at Plainmoor yesterday watching the worst game in history - for that alone I deserve a couple of extra points!

Ooh, poor you (no extra points, though
At least you weren't at Eastlands, my friend fell asleep during te first half and had to be nudged awake by someone behind her! I can't complain, though Micah grossed me three points this week!

Doesn't Van Persie get a little extra for getting Goal of the Month? Couldn't we change the rules? And then backdate them? Say 50, 60 points or so?

It must have been a rubbish goal month then so no! Not at all, never in a thousand million years (ot thereabouts)

I think the difference, Trin, is that Rooney did pass the ball to Solskaer for the third United goal as well as crossing to Saha for the second. Seeing as the rules actually say you get two for an assist (there's no mention of Goal of the Month bonuses), I should get four for Rooney this week, not two

But for Solskjaer's goal, didnt he lose the ball, then win the ball back, thus rendering Rooney's pass just a pass and not an assist?
That makes nearly no sense but I know what i meant.

That is how I failed to get points for a Park Il-Song assist earlier in the season. The defender attempted to stop it, but failed to control and lost it to the intended receiver. Sorry I agree with B here nil points for that 'assist'.
Key: Complain about this post
