hi
-
im lost on what to do.
-
i did an edited guide, and ive since found other sections that are part of the guide.i think
-
but they are rough, and are stored away, as the person that originally did the editing for the guide as gone off the h2g2.
-
how do i get them seen and sorted to be part of the original guide.
-
as i said, if they are needed to enhance the guide.
-
the guide is on the buildings, the sections are leading to the buildings, how they came to be built, who opened one, and so on

I'm not sure I understand. Do you mean you found an unedited entry that you want to get edited?

hi
-
this is my edited finished at the time, or so i thought.
-
A24244490
-
then the lady at the library(who at the time my edited was in the system)was on hols, found theses
-
A24975534
-
they have been on a space guide for gaes, as i cant do anything with them myself. and the one that did the editing for me, as decided to quit the h2g2 altogether ,rev nick
-
so what i want to know, is can anyone help to decide first, are the sections worth adding, and can someone first polish them, then get them into my, original guide,
-
that is asumming you think they ,need to be part of the guide, phew, hope this makes sence.
----
in a nutshell, extra parts, no way of doing them, do they need to be in the main guide, can one of you help, original editor gone
----
jim
ps, or do i just delete the extras and forget them altogether.lol

Elentari Posted May 15, 2008
So you want to add them into the original entry?
It depends on how long they are. If they're short enough, you can just ask a curator to put them in, but otherwise you'll need to start a new entry, put the content from the original entry in it, then add the new bits where you want them and put it in the Update Forum.

thats all said and done, im 60 plus, and it took me long enough with rev nicks help to get the guide in the edited.
-
the sections are to fit in the main guide if you have read them,
-
cant be a seperate one.
-
if i could do it myself i would, thats why i asked for help.
-
im NOT on a pc, limited to what i can do. no outside internet connection.
-
i do use a cyber cafe, but very limited to,
-
it took me long enough to find this way to get to someone, i see thing diff on my system, than a pc. jim

I have left a message for the curators at there home page with a link to this page
Because i think once they have been edited you can no longer edit the page to change things

Hi Jim
I think you want to add the content of A24975534 to your already-edited A24244490 Historic Buildings of Bradford, West Yorkshire.
This can be done, by a Curator, and if you have a little patience it'll be me, sometime next week, sorry I can't do better than that. I'll stand aside for any other Curator with time on their hands who wants to do this though

hi gb
-
if you can do it and add them, or what you think should be there, its better than letting them sit on a guide, or be deleted.
-
you will know doubt know, as i think, though with my memory, that rev nick was the one that got me through the p reveiw.
-
and he as now left the h2g2, a few weeks ago.
-
from seeing your page in the past, i am happy to let you decide what if any of the sections can be added to the main one, thanks jim
-
ps, if you need to contact off the h2g2, my active and blueyonder are on my p space.

Do you mean the HEADER The Police Station (The Bridewell) section?
Do you want that inserting *in* that section, or a new "Law Court" section creating prior to it?

Jimcracker7[magiclink.rip gone altogether. im back.in my home from home. Posted May 19, 2008
hi gb
-
the last bit is in connection with the wayway that was from the old police station, to the law courts to the left, just behind the fountain.
-
so its the section after the header, new law courts, at the beginning, as it refers to the opening.of the new one.
-
the old law courts arnt in the centre, they where over behind the t and a years ago, and before that, in the town hall.
-
the old p station was built first, for some reason, and the walkway memtioned as added ,after the new courts where built.

ive just looked at the main guide
-
i would say its would be before
-
the police station(the bridewell)
-
as the bridewell was finished after the new lawcourts.
-
and the walkway joined to allow the prisoners to be taken underground, to and from the courts.

hi gb
-
if you look at the four set of photos on the main guide the press ahll is made of all smoked kind of glass.
-
i couldnt find anything to say what type of glass was used, i was working for the same company, but not at the time ie was built, as there printer, uto 1994, when i became disabled.
-
i treyd to find out by ringing the old firm, but all the ones i knew had left by then,
-
and none of the bosses where willing to give me any tech info.
-
whats in the guide is all i could find in the papers, that had been mentioned.
-
you would think its was under the secrets act lol.
-
the press hall is where the mail paper storgae and printers are.
-
if you are passing you can see the machines running, and in sunlight, the glass will react to the rays. when the presses are runing, at night, you will sometimes see the tourist with there cameras clicking away. lol jim

Right, I've added that if you'd like to check it's OK.
In the "Telegraph and Argus" addition, what does this mean:

Jimcracker7[magiclink.rip gone altogether. im back.in my home from home. Posted May 19, 2008
hi gb
-
the t and a is our local newspapaer, and the section with the way the process and the airey glass is mentioned was a writeup on the new press hall.
-
as it was a clipping at the library, i didnt get it till the lady came back off hls, (by then the guide was done).
-
all the clippings are kept in a locked room, and the lady and a few others where the only ones that allow acsess..
-
i looked for anything else in conection with the new press hall, but nothing other than what was printed in the papers at the time.
-
i even went to see the one that wrote the article at the time, but had left long ago, so another dead end. , jim

read that, I can't put that in the Edited Entry, because it doesn't make sense. Please tell me what to put in its place or I'll have to remove it, thanks

light, i would think would mean it was made in a way it wasnt to heavy, but was able to withstand the power of the presses running.
-
and airey, in someway well ventilated. jim
