Hi Isa!
Thanks for posting this to Peer Review - it's a great idea for an article.
When you say "But the reason for this entry is not to describe tuk tuks..", I'm not so sure. You do a pretty good job of describing them, and the article needs it too.
It does need some work done to it to fit in with the Writing-Guidelines and <./>SubEditors-Style</.>. I suggest you first have a read of those. You've got to remove all the first-person references, for one thing.
Also, your article might need expanding a little. Take a look at a couple of other taxi entries we have - you might find some ideas in these:
A759602 Hailing a Taxi in Cairo, Egypt
A464942 Taxis in Warsaw, Poland
I hope you can get this one into shape. I'd love to read about tuk tuks in the Edited Guide!

I don't think yours is "really inadequate" by any means! It just needs a little tidying up and rephrasing, and maybe just a little more information. It doesn't need to be as long as the Cairo entry - I'd aim for something maybe just a little longer than the Warsaw entry, but it's your decision in the end of course.
If you need any assistance with anything, then let us know and we'll point you in the right direction!
I really got a sense of the colourful bustle of Dacca from your writing!

only you dont shout 'Oi Taxi'... you would shout 'Oi Baby' (!!!) However unbelievable this sounds it is true and I invite anyone to inquire about it. ask any born and bred Bangladeshi
"Don"t"
"and anyone is invited"
"inquire...(no fullstop) or after the fullstop Ask starting with a capital.

Hello there flyingtwinkle, I think it's much too early to start correcting spelling and punctuation, if Isa is to reword the entry, you're just wasting your, her, and our time

Moving on, these taxis were banned from the capital and a new more fuel efficient model was contrived
here somehow the word "contrived" does not look apprpriate.

It's funny how once one hears a word, a place name etc etc for the first time, it keeps cropping up all over the place. I'd never heard of tuuk tuks until I read your Entry, and then... on this morning's TV news there was an item about someone driving a tuk tuk from Thailand to England for a charity:

Thanks for the link BigAl. It's funny, but here ( Germany) a tuck-tuck is (mainly children's language for) a slow car
