This shows promise. You'll have to take out the first person references such as "I hate Christmas". But the rest of it has an interesting point to make.

Will do! Immediately! I'd appreciate any other advice, however brutal!

and ouch!
I like it, not qualified to advise but perhaps this post will bring this back into view in PR.
(Oh, there is a first person reference in there still, and a missing word near the end of the first para.)

I think this piece is more appropriate for the Alternative Writing Workshop than Peer Review, it being more opinion than fact.

I thought people might think along those lines.
I don't know how well you know h2g2 Lunar Tick. In case you're not familiar with it, it has different places for different types of entries. Peer Review, where you've submitted this, focuses on the Edited Guide part, ie h2g2's "online Encyclopedia" (to quote the front page). If the consensus in Peer Review is that this isn't Edited Guide material, please do submit it to the Alternative Writing Workshop.
This piece is not a turkey! Waz

I agree - it's good, but not for the EG.
Although there has been some debate on askh2g2 recently as to quite how 'encyclopaedia-like' h2g2 should be... F19585?thread=326892

Christmas has gone, and so is Lunar Tick.
This may be funny, but I don't see much future in it progressing through Peer Review. I propose a move back to entry.

I disagree. I'd say AWW for this bird.
