I think you should introduce an alcohol penalty into the game.
With that addition the game could degenerate even more quickly into total lunacy.

The trouble is, I usually have to get people to imbibe plenty of alcohol before I can get them to play the game.

I forgot to mention in my age, that to calm down after a hectic game of Bibble, it is a good idea to have one game of "Stream of Consciousness Sevens." This also helps to sort the cards out again.smiley - winkeye

I can see how the pre-imbibed alcohol could help!

I introduced a small vodka penalty, to the delight of all those playing. I got my mate to pick up practically the whole pack because he didn't say "Veebelfetzer". Also, as a way of indicating that someone has not said something, you wait until it's obvious that they're not going to say it, then say "Bibble" (it seemed to fit; change it if you will). Problem being that if you don't forget, you soon wish you had, as if you forget, you get to have vodka.

Anyway, this is a highly amusing card game. Thanks.

Also, nine cards can be fun when there are only two people. Some dumb@ss gave me the jokers to sweetleaf him withsmiley - doh.

As Bibble is used throughout the game anyway, may I suggest the use of either "Splitter!!", "Heretic!!!" or "Burn the Witch!!!!"

I'm favouring Burn the Witch right now. What do you think?

I think so. It might be fun to introduce a tarot card at some point, where one Burns the Witch (which sounds a hell of a lot like a euphemism) whether or not the other party has said "Veeblefetzer".

I may still have a sort of pack of tarot cards somewhere. I bought them in France and it is for Le Jeux de Tarot so the main suits are the same as a normal pack of cards as opposed to cups and cakes etc, and the major Arcana are just numbered. I never managed to translate the French to know how to play the game so the pack is next to useless really. Maybe if I incorporate them into Bibble, I can put them to some use. Hmm

The game itself is actually not that great. But I have certainly tried to think up a number of working cards based on the numbered cards in a Tarot pack.
