h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

There is an old Swedish joke-sentance meant to say to English people. It goes somewhat like this:
What are you for one? I don't feel again you.
Which in Swedish is:
Vad är du för en? Jag känner inte igen dig.
In real English this would be something like:
Who are you? I don't recognize you.

There is a similar sentance to say to German people:
Es ist unser in die Luft, bald kommen die Löven und die Bären.
This is meanto to meen:
Det är vår i luften, snart kommmer löven och bären.
There is spring in the air, soon the leafs and the berries will come.
But it acctually translates to:
Det är våran i luften, snart kommer lejonen och björnarna.
It is our in the air, soon lions and the bears will come.

Maybe not so very funny but there you have them!

Ps. Sköldpadda(Tortoise in Swedish) means Shell-toad not shell frog...
