I think that the the UK being an island, as generally it is harder to to predict the weather than if the UK was part of a mainland continent.

At the risk of being serious and informative here;
The shape of the clouds and colour of the sky are key to forecasting weather without a helpful idiot on the TV or radio.
'Mackerel skies and mare's tails
make tall ships carry low sails'
Red sky at night, sailor's delight
Red sky at morning, sailor's take warning.
Both are based on sound meteorological study.

My point actually was that in 2011BC, due to climate change, there might have been fewer days with red skies ( or grey skies) in the morning, and more days with red skies at night

They (politicians) only pass laws and do things that we don't want, i.e tax us but they have a Ferengi attitude to worker's rights (any laws to protect us are voluntary i.e, payday loan companies, cold telesales telephone calls and the manufacturing industry which has been decimated since the 80's and they have made it too expensive to run these business with all the taxes and other laws they have passed.

Michigan is in a period of transition. The laws still protect the current union contracts until they expire. Once that happens union membership becomes optional and employers will get to act more like Ferengi over here. Plus our Obamacare health care become fully effective next January, and employers are debating how many people to fire in order to keep their profits up when it happens.

Meanwhile an important day in history passes relatively unobserved.The federal Fair Labor Standards Act was passed 75 years ago tomorrow, June 25. It established a federal minimum wage and basic labor protections that have kept workers secure for decades. Learn more about the FLSA's history - and why a fair minimum wage is still relevant today - in the blog: http://social.dol.gov/blog/75-years-of-rewarding-work-and-responsibility/.

aparently a good day to get crowned, killed or start a war.
1461 - Edward is crowned following The First War of the Roses
... At the age of 19, Queen Victoria is crowned, with Prime Minister Lord Melbourne acting as her political advisor...1914 - Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria is assassinated in Sarajevo, triggering WWI....
1922 - The Irish Civil War begins with Free State forces' shelling the Four Courts in Dublin.
