In a restaurant where tips are expected, put the tip (in coins) into a clear water glass, then fill the glass precisely to the brim with water. Then cover the top of the glass very carefully with an index card and very, VERY carefully turn it over onto the table. Then pull the index card out. You now have a glass full of water, that looks empty, on top of the tip, waiting for the unsuspecting waiter/waitress to pick it up. (Please note: although it's funny, I also think it's pretty mean and when one of my friends tried it, I stayed behind and cleaned it up before the waitress got there.)
