Well, as an Aussie I've got a snowflake's chance in hell of seeing any progression, stuck in a Group with Brazil, Croatia and Japan. Ah me.
Has everyone else got their Diary all worked out though? And the beer ordered?

Haven't organised a diary yet. My intention is to watch every game I can 'till the wife goes nuts. Then I'll cut it down to one game a day

I'm really not looking forward to the match England vs Paraguay tomorrow here in Frankfurt, the first fights between German and English 'fans' already took place last night at a feast on the Main No idea who started it and how many were involved, but the mere fact makes me very wary to what is going to happen tomorrow after the match

I know this is a slightly belated point but I can see Australia going past the group stage- I hope they do. Why is it that as an Englishman I would wrote for not only the British Isles but also (it turns out) the colonies as well, and they (I'm guessing here) would happily see England fall into a pit. Odd that, maybe it's latent guilt on my part. Sorry about all those criminals.

They're not your fault, and if you ask me, the Germans are worse, just think of what they did to that French policeman a couple of years ago

I remember that. France in 1998. I heard recently that Britain topped a European poll of the continents worst thugs. I can't help feeling that's just a little bit of anti-English sentiment coming in. Never mind, nothing like a bit of football to stir up a few good old fashioned national hatreds eh?

My father once drove me to a friend's brithday party while he was listening to the cricket. I don't know what happen but the noise scared the sh*t out of me. When me, buv and father were watchign England vs Argentina and Michael Owen scored, the dog ran from the room in fear. Happy Days. Which also frightened the dog.
