Anyway can we CAVE folks please agree on how to split up the categories... or you won't get a say in it at all...

I'm technically not CAVE folk but... 
- If there was the remotest chance of getting smileys made official then it would make sense to follow the existing smiley categories.
- If there are going to be more general smileys in CAVE then the categories need to reflect the expected balance. My own division is slightly different (A1925598 for existing and A1943840 starting from scratch but with a few of the category pages hidden because there are none in them yet).
- If one were to work with just the existing CAVE smileys then some simple divisions might be possible: people (anything with a face in it!), weapons (most of them), misc (eg candle).

there's something that bothers me...
This is stupid.
We don't really want 6000 different smileys. Who would? We're not listing smileys we want... we're just listing things. Really just as an excuse to make them. It's sorta... well... pointless...
