Well.. I've been lurking again. And have stumbled upon another campaign for the variety of smileys. (A4084977) I'm not sure how well this campaign is going, but I know that CAVE is absolutely destroyed for the most part.

Hmm... AK (U236276) and Wonko (U236130) seem a bit absent.

Yeah. I know.. I talk to them sometime outside of h2g2 and they each have discovered their own things to be a part of. But we can run CAVE without them, right?

Well you can't update their pages without their accounts. You could add pages of your own - though linking them other than via conversation threads again relies on updates. You can of course do campaigning on your own, eg changing your nickname and posting around a bit (or even starting an ican/actionnetwork club ).

If you just want more violent emoticons designed, I can do that and produce HTML code still. I've been doing 13px ones of late though for another site. Including a raspberry - which may or may not be violent, depending on what you do with it, whereas the tank really only has one purpose.

I know.. Heh.

And most of the stuff involving CAVE is my work. Meaning I wrote most of the pages' guideml myself.. I don't think they have pages, really.. And as for the nickname idea, not a back one. Heh. Thanks. ^_^ <<needs to be an official smiley anyway...

It was AK updating the page of TABLE art smileys (A1154648). However, since the main page is yours that needn't affect you much.

NB The manga/anime smileys aren't exactly violent and there's an argument for keeping them the way they are rather than have them ruined. The evil grin which got added (rather than just "evil" as you had listed) didn't fit with the other smileys, being the wrong colour (hence AK redoing it on that page). Quite a lot of the newer ones don't.

I see Atari (U211272) has been around posting more recently than the others are shown as doing. So you might still have one minion left from the original set.

I still check in occasionally when I'm bored with other forums.

And as for the whole violent thing, we were working on a name change, if you look through some of the backlog. We were going to become the "Campaign for A Variety of Emoticons."

Yes, I remember the vacillation over the name, but that backlog was logged way back.
