I think this is great information, it makes me want a hamster all over again. After it took my boyfreind six months to talk me out of buying a hamster, after reading this information, I want a hamster, all over again, it was very well written and very informative. It was a pleasure to read. I wish the Writer all the very best.

As spokeshamster for the group (Maximus Aurellius) I highly recommend getting a little squeaker of your own. But first you must ask yourself some fairly important questions:

1) Can you devote the time necessary?We here are very lucky, mother only works part time so we get lots of stimulation, lots of play, lots of being handled

2) Who's going to look after your little darling when you have to go away?

3) Have you got the space for a hamster? Like children we accumulate a wide variety of toys and other stuff. And just like children we like making a mess and leaving it all over the floor.

4) Find yourself a very good vet who will take the smaller animal seriously, many don't, they are 'just hamsters'.

Squeaking from experience if your heart craves a hamster like mothers does, and you have been owned by one before then follow your heart. As the entry says as you haven't had one for a little while, get a little boy. And no matter how much you irritate the shop assistant TAKE YOUR TIME. Let him choose you.

Your reply is great thankyou, it really tickled me, it was very cleverly worded. I am very tempted, but consider this Hammie Hamster or Eddie boyfriend, as I know my boyfriend won't have it in his car, also I am away quite a bit looking after my chiwowas(little dogs) and my Mum, they didn't like the budgie much that I had years ago, also they run from spiders so imagine the effect Hammie Hamster would have. Although one day I may take the bull by the hornes and just appear with Hammie Hamster. I will keep reading your information on them for now as all I can do right now is dream about them.
