Depends what the marketplace is. He's not talking Hoochtie-Teuchtie Hielieman stuff. Conceivably, there's a market in the lowland, central belt where most of us live,
That said...most of the Beeb's made-for-Scotland output is shite. I'm an R4 man meself.

No. But if asked...I'd say that it wasn't made by BBC Scotland.

A lot of commercial stuff for the main market gets made up here
We're not talking made FOR Scotland television
We're talking made for the WORLD television
Getting funded in Scotland and people getting jobs out of it up here
Anyone remember that Ewan MCGregor guy
Imagine if he never bothered going to London and making Lipstick On Your Collar
it would have no effect on his career
He would have done Shallow Grave up here and then Trainspotting gets commissioned
But what if Robert Carlyle and that bloke Robbie Coltraine off Cracker, made by Granada, weren't friends?
Would Robert have made it to 28 weeks later?

Incidentally, I've just found out that BME is so-oo last Tuesday. The current correct nonmenclature is VME, or Visible Minority Ethnic. Presumably the Invisible Minority Ethnics don't mind (or matter)
