The thing that instantly struck me when I clicked the link for his website was his logo.
Is it just me, or has the bloke got the Pot Noodle Horn?

(Note to non-UK based reserachers: Pot Noodle is a strange noodle based snack consisting primarily of highly processed chemicals, who ran an even stranger TV advertising campaign in recent months which involved a bloke having a rather large horn stuck out of his trousers )

Alot of these webbased pressure groups are very small outfits. However, journos, especially radio ones (and disturbingly radio 4) actually give credence to these people by interviewing them. Sometimes Stephen Green has been made to look an idiot but alot of the time it gives a false validation to their views.
I think the media is starting to wise up to this a bit more now.
Luckily, there are a few websites that watch these websites to highlight their bigotry. Ironically these could be small one-man band as well but they do not go around threatening people.
Mediawatchwatch.co.uk or something similar is a good place to start. Mediawatch (I think is the Mary Whitehouse organisation) - a (religious) group of frigid narrow minded killjoys who purport to be saving the coutry from, moral corruption by watching all this horible stuff and then telling everyone else they should not.

I suppose it's vaguely encouraging that they actually watch the things they're complaining about, which many of the JStO complainers neglected to do. It was quite intriguing to be involved in a (real life!) discussion about it with various viewpoints and to discover I was the only person who had actually watched it and was therefore the only person able to respond to the various points raised in an informed manner.

The end of "The World Tonight" just now:
"...and the Christ-O-Crats are on the march."
It seemed to be a feature about Christian Fundamentalists in US politics, but I think it's also make a darn good trailer for a whole new genre of Horror flick. What do you think?

(It's My Life, ITV1, Sunday 26th June 23:40
Terry Christian hosts the discussion programme. After protests about Jerry Springer the Opera, the Sikh play Bezhti, and the proposed new law against incitement to religious hatred, are we in danger of losing the right to free speech? And should freedom of expression extend to religious symbols and clothing?)

It just finished. The saddest thing was the Muslim woman who chose to wear the Hijab; every time she tried to say anything she was shouted down from all sides. I still never heard her argument.

"A Christian web magazine is launching a competition to find the most offensive religious joke. Although some people are shocked when faith is the butt of humour, why are so many others amused?"

Life of Brian is a pastiche on the Easter Story, slapstick and fantastic character humour all rolled into one .

Anyone else think it is a bad idea to give a muppet like Green publicity?

Possibly, but as he will probably only end up making himself look more of an idiot, hey!

Yes, a very bad idea. He is so entrenched in his views and the believe that they are true that any validation of his views will only give him more power to show that his views are being listened to.
He should be totally ignored. It is the only way to deal with him.
No real surprise on my views there

Mediawatchwatch isn't Wary Micehouse's outfit, that was The National Vewiers and Listeners Association. Mediawatch are worse.

Come to think of it, it is rather odd that he is actually being given any credence at all as a public speaker.
I wonder why he is being included - perhaps for his ability to send 47,000 email complaints all by himself about something he'd never seen and was never going to see?

" hey, maybe I'll write a play about all-singing, all-dancing atheists with M16s, fantasising about locking up Catholic nuns and school children in mental hospitals, and portraying Charles Darwin, Bertrand Russell, Voltaire and Mark Twain performing frottage on one another while wearing togas and worshipping a statue of Ayn Rand in a wedding gown! "
I wonder if Apple has got around to writing this one yet?
