Possibly because it could be construed as an advert for Ryanair. Which is pretty ironic, really.

Or more likely someone was worried that a company known to be litigious in the extreme might take offence.

Especially as it's been declared the original post was by an employee of one of that company's direct competitors.

Well sire Clive, I started the thread and had no idea it had gone.
All it was about really was the high level of Insurance charge being passed on to Ryanair customers, while the actual amount required was a fair bit smaller. The question being raised in the press then was, where is the extra money going.
Which may mean that this post may get blanked as well now.........

I wouldn't panic Doc - so, you've been moderated - but the conversation's got well enough established that we're all pretty much aware of the subject.

I don't *recall* it as being libellous, or different to much of what followed.
The morality or honesty of advertising fares that are less than anyone can possibly pay is questionable.
Having surcharges for insurance that would seem to be way more than are justified by the claimed cost of insurance is also dubious, since it's implicitly saying 'This money isn't going to *us*, but to pay other people.'
As the fraction of a surcharge which actually goes to the cause in question falls, there comes a point where the implicit statement would go from a bending of the truth to an effective lie if said out loud.

I only noticed because my conversations listed this forum as "no subject"
Seeing as afterall it was the Doctor who has the moderation e-mail he'd be given the reason why it was removed.
but I was only curious so don't let me inititate a topic drift.

There won't be a mail yet - it's not been failed, simply 'referred', the e-mail won't get sent out until one of the italics looks at it.

Well, I got the mail and it said that I had appeared to have infringed copyright - I confess that it was an industry press release, so hey ho - no more of that in the future.
Key: Complain about this post
