Yes it's make a line shoulder to shoulder.

You tend to make a row...not form it. I'm not sure why yet though.

And it's "suitable", not suit smiley - smiley

And...just because then I can boast in safety...I got made a scout today!!! Whoo go me!

Cat-Eyes: No..... why.... ?

I would say it's 'Form a line, shoulder to shoulder' if you were instructing people. 'Form' tends to mean more to do with a human action involving multiple humans (No, i don't think that makes sense either, but I'm very tired...)

You think I would be a RL scout?? Wait until you know me better and you will realise that that is almost physically impossible.

I think with the form/make a line it might depend on who you were talking to.

For example.

If I was talking to children I would say "make a line please".
If I was talking to adults I would say "If you could all form a line please".

Forming a line does sound more "proper" but it really depends what situation you're in. If I was talking to you lot, I would say

"Right if you all make a line along this piece of string here please"

But if I was talking to my teachers in a weird role-reversal

"Could you form a line along this piece of string please"

I think it entirely depends on who you are talking to, but either could be used in any situation.

I've read your PS, can't find any reason why you shouldn't be a scout in RL smiley - erm

Katkat, by the way: what’s happened to the purple thread sticking out of your knee? Is it gone? smiley - erm

Kat - From H2G2

The purple thread!!! Oh the story of the purple thread! Well, the nurse pulled it and a knot emerged! So she cut the knot but couldn't pull anymore out. After a while she started pulling skin out instead so we decided to leave it alone. Then...a week later, the skin had grown over the remaining thread! So it has vanished into the depths of my leg again.

Oh and B'elana, I wouldn't be a RL scout, partly due to my leg, and partly due to the fact that I leave the house once a fortnight. Suffering from bipolar disorder does WONDERS for your social life smiley - erm

Oh and katkodl...you'd want to form a RING round my leg smiley - tongueout. A line has a beginning and an end.

Ok, I had no idea,I had to google to find out smiley - smiley
And what happened to your leg, did you have a complicated fracture ?

CALLING ALL NON-ENGLISH SPEAKING, or just non-English speaking well people.

Post 72

Kat - From H2G2

What did you have to google?

I broke my leg in three places in a sort of triangle shape, so that a triangle of bone came through my skin. So yes you could say it was complicated...I think it's called a compound fracture. Then after that I got compartments syndrome in my leg. This means that the muscles in my leg seized up and no oxygen was getting through. This of course, is BAD NEWS because my leg started dying. So they had to cut through all the muscle to release the seizure. THEN they had to put a skin graft over the top of it.
Sorry hope you weren't eating whilst reading that smiley - biggrin

Kat - From H2G2

Yup there's still a large amount of thread wandering around in my leg.

"I hardly ever eat" might be better. "I'm hardly ever eating when...." but "I hardly ever eat" if you're talking in general...and why not???!!! eating is important!

I know, but I tend not to eat, I don't like eating much, just do it to stay alive smiley - erm

Sigh. People should enjoy eating! It's a simple pleasure and one that I try to have as often as possible. Having said that there are weeks where I don't eat but we don't talk about those.

What did you have to google? Im getting interested!

I looked up 'bipolar disorder', the first time you mentioned it, I had the impression it was a mathematical term ( don't ask me why, though ), but that didn't seem to fit anymore when you mntioned it again smiley - smiley

When Katkat told me that she’s bipolar I thought this means that she’s bisexual! smiley - rofl
Well, that's an estimated half year ago and since then I've heard the term several times on Austrian TV. The expression "bipolar" seems to make a career now in Austria as well!
