I haven't seen any British news today, but the headline in our newspaper was : Amor's arrow makes minister Blunkett falter

What's happened is that ON TOP of the fact that his lover is making an annoyance of herself, it's also been revealed that Blunkett gave her free rail travel. Big whoohoo....

Spouses of government officials get 15 free travel tickets a year. Blunkett felt that because he was in a long-term loving relationship (be it with a married woman) he was entitled to give her free rail travel. Apparently...not.

That's ridiculous, so couldn't they prove that he fiddled with the residence permit for his philippinian nanny ?

of course they can....what's odd about it is that it was the nanny who accused him of jigging her visa! You would have thought she'd keep quiet!

Who knows how much she's been paid to tell this.

Who's Blunkett?

The British minister for internal affairs

Better known as the Home Secretary. He's been being naughty...well actually...what's happened is he's been having an affair for a looonnnggg time with a married woman, and then they split up and he claimed that her child was his and that she wasn't giving him access to it. So THEN there was a huge uproar and tests were done proving that the baby was indeed David Blunkett's. So in a stupid and bizarre effort to remain somewhat respectable, the woman has strted leaking all sorts of allegations to the press about things Blunkett has done wrong....all things that made HER life easier! Basically they're all just being daft. Including her husband who says that he'll fight Blunkett, even though when you think about it he should be bloody angry with his wife.

Happens to many people that they start quarrelling after a split-up, but usually, it doesn't interest others

Hopefully we should have one or two new people joining us, so I'm sure you...hang on there's only two of us in here at the moment! What's going on!? anyway...I'm sure that WE will make them feel at home
