I finally completed my contribution to the Universities project. (I know, seriously late, but it's here.)
As a current student, I can vouch for the info.

Nice one, Elentari. I think it was my third-choice Uni, so it's good to read what it would have been like.
Nitpicks:
grammatical error
10,000?
which is the other? Just interested.
It doesn't move, then?
Is this an astroturf running track, or astroturf pitches plus a running track?
spelling.
...this would attract?

Icy. Where did you end up then?
which is the other? Just interested.
I'm not sure. Somewhere in Bolton, I believe.
I'll make the other changes now.

I'd add Bolton as a footnote, otherwise everyone's going to be asking you the same question.
(I had a fairly unsuccessful time here: A12220084 but now I'm studying here: A592490 )

The course - I couldn't keep up with it, and the department didn't want to know. Everything else was great.
The OU's the other way round!

Just a few little things:
-Goodricke bar is McQ's, not McG's.
-Halifax has no JCR (grr!), and the 'JCRC' is therefore the 'HCSA', Halifax College Student's Association.
-The 'fit duck' is also commonly known as Trevor or Damien
-'Yor:Shop' should be 'Your:Shop' and there's also 'Your:Books' next to URY which sells second-hand books
-You may want to mention that the main library is the William Morrell library.
- "The college has no canteen of its own, but has the use of the Roger Kirk Centre next door, which serves food." All students can use any food outlet, they're not restricted by college.
On the subject of food it may be worth noting JJ's2 in Vanbrugh bar in the evenings.
-The TV station is YSTV, has won many awards, is the oldest of its kind in the country...if you're going to praise URY and Nouse, then in fairness you ought to at least give some info about YSTV. You can watch online as well as on campus.
-You might consider making 'Campus' and 'Colleges' two seperate sections.
That's all that caught my eye.
-Care to meet up for lunch?

Hi Runescribe! What college are you in?
I'll make those changes, thanks.
Care to meet up for lunch? Quite possibly. I know another York hootooer who might be able to make it.

Oh, and it's actually the JB Morrell library. I don't think I will add the name, I'm not sure it really matters.

Where did I get William Morrell from? I am dumb.
I'm a Halifaxian -pity me! I too know another hootooer. Four at one uni is rather good, no?

Are there any particular pubs or bars worth naming for their student-friendly ways? Or how much things cost there: accommodation, general cost of feeding yourself, that kind of thing.
The 'University of York' link doesn't work, by the way .

*waves to laconian*
I'm a bit wary of putting in figures like that because they'll change all the time. I'll add some stuff about pubs and bars etc. Thanks!

Nice one Elentari couldn't see anything wrong.
Is it worth a single line explaining that York St John aren't part of The University of York?
It wasn't until further down the article when you listed the colleges that I worked it out. But that may just have been brain-fade after a day sat in a meeting at head office.
Other than that,

I just noticed something.
You managed to write an entire h2g2 entry on York, and not mention Dougsoc. I am exceedingly impressed by your restraint!

Elentari Posted Feb 11, 2007
I'll be honest, I've not really come across DougSoc. As I recall, they did have a darlek at Freshers Fair though. I went again after all the free stuff I got last year!

We're not a very noticeable society, except when we have fancy dress events.
