I've *never* walked out of a film. Not even Johnny Mnemonic.

It's certainly quite a powerful statement to make. When I walked out of Batman and Robin (I never wanted to see it in the first place, actually), I made it quite clear I was not just popping out to the toilet - picking up my coat and soforth - and quite a few people actually got up and followed me.
If I've paid the money, it's my choice to do what I like with the film. As it was, the cinema offered me a free pint, which was nice of them.

I think I'm a bit anal when it comes to films. I'm the one who sits through the whole of the credits, even if I've seen the film before. Even on Video. So walking out would be rather out of character. If we arrive late for a film, I'd rather not watch anything than miss the first two minutes.
Although recently, I watched 'Audition' on my TiVo, and watched the first two thirds of that on double-speed, just reading the subtitles, since it was clearly going to take forever to get anywhere. So maybe I'm softening up. But I don't think I missed anything.

I walked out on MIB, though mainly due to the oafish lout next to me who was laughing so loud he nearly burst my ear.
All my mates think it is quite good though, must just be me...

Oh yeah I watched Reign of Fire recently; had I been in the cinema for that one I would certainly have walked out. I might even have attacked the screen!

Popye, a music version of the cartoon, starring Robin Williams. Doesn't this man have an agent? A caring friend?
High Fidelity. I know I may get flack for that one, but really, I wouldn't have stayed with John Cusack's character either, the whiny bore.
Light of Day, starring Michael J. Fox. I was coerced into going, and fled as soon as my popcorn ran out. Fox as a leather-clad tough guy? Please!
[I'm usually much nicer than this! ]

Please tell me that the above is a joke? If not where can one get a copy as it sounds like it would be awfully funny

Oh it's true. One of Williams' first, and it's a pretty bad film, alright.
I quite liked MiB. A bit of a souffle of a film, but not particularly offensive. I didn't see it with a loud laughing man, though.
Actually I went to see it () with my Mum.

Not a joke! I swear! My parents dragged me to it in the early 80s. I don't know if you can get a copy, as Mr. Williams would have been wise to have all evidence destroyed. And really, who would buy it?

That is such a shame..... you never know they probably show it on some obscure digital chanel from time to time (just what I need an excuse to watch more bad TV).
I (to my shame) have a terrible film in my collection called "Hollywood Hookers; They Charge an Arm and a Leg" about a group of chainsaw worshiping prostitutes who murder their punters in order to have a longer life. It really is awful, so bad it is kind of good. I bought it (aged 15) from a petrol station for £2.00, fantastic. Hell come to think of it I might write a guide entry on the damn film!

Ooo! An arm and a leg--that's a whole other thread--films based on terrible puns! Anyone have any more?

There was a very good and very funny film critic called Simon Rose, who has apparently drifted into obscurity. He created a list of 8 guidelines for recognising bad films. One of them was 'never see a film where the title contains a title' and he cited loads of examples - 'Hair Apparent' and 'Transylvania 6-5000' among them.

However such films are often the ones that fall into the "so bad they're good" category. Don'tcha think

Ooo I've just thought of another one, Texas chain saw massacre a "freind" lent me the video a couple of weeks ago.... Dire, wish I'd had a chainsaw for the video machine. (I watched all of it waiting for it to get better, it did .... the credits were entertaining the actors even used their own names)

"I (to my shame) have a terrible film in my collection called "Hollywood Hookers; They Charge an Arm and a Leg" "
The actual title of that film is 'Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers' but the BBFC wouldn't let them print that on the video covers, so they replaced the word 'Chainsaw' with a picture of the chainsaw. No really.
