And the eyes.
Then there's the contrast between the extreme précis structure and the enthusiasm contained in the word itself. You’re welcome.

I think it's beautifully written. The feeling and warmth that eminates from the piece has left me speechless. Its simplicity, yet powerful message demonstrates a unique writing talent and grasp of language that I could never hope to achieve.
The only word I can summon, from deep within my soul, that truely expresses my complete admiration of the work is... YAY!

In the entry the expectation of an '!' is disappointed – kind of focusing attention on a symbolic sandwiching of an alpha between two omegas?
Or is that just me. Possibly the effect of reading this over a lunchtime banana sandwich.
Not quite omega of course, but ZAZ would be distractingly unintelligible, making YAY a good choice .

I'm crazzy about the reviews .
Read all the comments before the actual piece, and launched into the entry, curiosity kindled and expectations surging.

The uncanny way in which the end of the piece echoes the beginning speaks powerfully of the eternal cycle of the universe.
The confident, linear structure and the essential simplicity of the message lend the work its immense strength. It compels one to think of the girders of a colossal bridge spanning the cosmos.
When confronted with writing as exquisite as this, who could fail to hear the profound echoes of the Ultimate Question, namely...HUH ?

I am frankly disgusted that a piece with such a lack of moral perspective and ethical grounding could even be published on a website so close to the digital conscience of Great Britain.
Where are the guardians of modern morality?
How can we allow our children to witness messages such as these, with their obviously oblivious attitude towards social mores, to proliferate on this new medium?
But even more frightening - is this what we are to expect from the BBC in the multimedia age?

I've come across stories before that have the same beginning, middle and ending! Most have been far too long-winded to make the grade!

Notice is hereby given that the delegated authorities (hereafter referred to as 'the authorities') have deemed in respect of this Entry (hereafter referred to as 'YAY') to terminate the existing poetic licence (hereafter referred to as 'the licence') granted to the Researcher known as greatbananaking, and that the Crown and the licensor, once having in this case discharged the duty of permitting a reasonable period of notice, will apply the equitable principle in delivering the opinion of the Board, expressly disclaiming any reference to that of any other equitable principle, the relevant problem thereby being whether a licence to occupy land by placing telegraph poles thereon had been revoked by the institution of proceedings by the Crown, and that the question was what term in regard to revocation should be implied in the licence which the Crown was assumed to have granted, thus there being in this case no doubt whatsoever that the question is analogous to that which must be decided on in this case, for the implication of a term as to revocation, on which matter the licence is entirely silent, must depend on what is fair and reasonable between the parties, and that the court will be guided by the same principles in this one case as in all others, and therefore we find the defendent guilty as charged, and sentencing will proceed after psychiatric reports.

On behalf of greatbananaking the defence would like to point out that YAY is self evidently an occupation of territory by placement of pylons, not telegraph posts, and that proper sentencing of the above Notice should proceed with immediate effect.

Don't encourage him, Waz. He's a prat.
(see what you mean about the pylons, though)

On the surface, this is an exquisitely rendered Zen haiku, immeasurably uplifting to the readers' spirit.
On the other hand, delving deeper, it evokes a desparate ennui at odds with Liff; the ending is flawed, as once the beginning and middle are experienced, the ending frivolously attempts to portray an artificial balance. Imho, the author requires a touch more experience with Liff.
