UnderGuide Archivist
Entrance to the The Archives
Welcome to this modest Space. This is where those UnderGuide types keep the Archivist. The UnderGuide Archivist's job is to make UnderGuide Entries accessible by genre, author and date. The official h2g2 UG-archive can be found here.
There have been quite a few Archivists. Some have been authentic volunteers, and some just didn't get out of the way fast enough. Some have been diligent, and some have been...well, me, I guess.
The UnderGuide is a gallery of high-quality creative writing from the greater Guide. If you'd like to know more about it, feel free to ask, or else follow the links to our Help Page at 'About the UnderGuide' . Or, if you really want to delve into all the history, there's Ariadne's Ball of String. That's a list of links recording the discussions and proposals that lead to the launch of the UnderGuide on 5th September 2003.
There's also a forum for comments about the archive at A3359522.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
