I'm aware that PR is not the place to put this since it is unfinished. However, I had very little response when I offered it to the Fleamarket and the EGWW 18 months ago.

I do not have the time to complete this project now, but it seems a shame to waste, especially when PR has so few new Entries.

What would others suggest should be done with it? I'll leave it here for a week to gather suggestions and then I'll pull it. If you'd like it removed earlier then please say so.

What topics were parts 8-10 supposed to cover?

The sub is no longer around as well, I'm wondering if you might be wiser to just submit them individually, DDD. I can't take this on, I'm afraid, and it should be submitted here *by the sub* if it's going to proceed as a Uni project.

I didn't get round to it - smiley - sorry - but I was supposed to be providing material for Part 7 - Rolling Mills.

I think this topic would stand up as an individual Entry, though freed from the Uni project it might be good to make it a little more historical and to contrast modern plate mills and their remarkable forerunners. (I've recently been learning about the Lukens 206" at Coatsville PA, and it's an awesome story)

Shall I write it then? Or would you like to co-operate DDD?

Cyzaki

I think the Large Hadron Collider in CERN should be included - that's one blimmin' huge machine.

Gee, thinking back to the most basic 'machines', would the pyramids represent the larget incline planes?

And, if so, where is the world's biggest screw?

smiley - towel

Hey DDD,

It's been in here a month and looks like it's a no-show.

Why don't you submit the finished Entries as singular ones?

And I think Cyzaki's idea for the Collider to have an Entry about it is a good 'un. smiley - ok

Oops, sorry about this one - I'd forgotten about it.

I'll remove it from PR to save cluttering the place up and then I'll have a think about what to do.

Thanks for all the suggestions! smiley - cheers
