And I'm not sure I was outbid, either Seeing as Blue Brasilian seems to have acquired Shaun Wright-Phillips for 3m, and I bid what you were willing to give me for Geremi plus 1.2m, I can't quite see how that one adds up.

Also, I offered a cash amount plus Alan Smith for Kevin Davies, and seeing as no-one else seems to have acquired him, I'm not sure what's going on there either.

a) I didn't offer you a lot of money for Geremi, as you recall. Besides, Brasilian needs all the help he can get.

b) You said you were going to go away and reconsider Kevin Davies after I told you he was crap.

Your fuzzy logic in b) has totally negated your argument for a)

Besides, you're top of the league, I've had a stressful day and I'm not mucking about with the page now. And 2.8m is far too generous an offer for someone who never plays, anyway.

Geremi *does* play - I saw him on the telly only the other week! He just never scores! And is it really fair to be picking on me just 'cos I'm top of the league at the moment?

I mean, back at Christmas I was more or less dead and buried and had almost given up. Then a couple of my players started performing, I did a bit of nifty work in the transfer market, and things started to come round. So you're saying just 'cos it worked and I'm doing well now, I'm not going to get the players I bid for?
