h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

First of all, Davina McCall is the most horifically evil female presenter of all time. No one even comes into her league. She sets my teeth on edge! Im ca't describe her badly enough.
My second target's Carol Vorderman. She's more intelligent than Davina, granted, but that's no excuse for Better Homes. If you haven't seen this programme, it's a grating uninspiring house makeover show, you know the type. If it's not bad enough watching it, ;istening to it's worse. It has two 'tunes' in a loose sense of the word: an upbeat 'happy' theme tune and a *shudder* calming, relaxing one. These two pieces are the ultimate in torture devices. Over and over again... Does anyone else share my passionate hate for this evil???

I hate decking. Hate hate hate hate. And Alan Titchmarsh: his garden makeover shows do do for gardening what the microwave oven did for cooking.

I agree with both of you, but not in all respects. Carol Vorderman has become ubiquitous and I now switch off whenever I see her. It doesn't matter what she's doing, I refuse to watch it. Davina McCall is heading the same way for "she's on everything"-ness. So both presenters get on my nerves.

I agree on decking - when I can afford to have a seating area done in my garden, I'll go for paving and gravel, thank you. At least it's maintenance free if you put water-permeable fabric underneath. I disagree about Alan Titchmarsh, though. Home and garden makeover programmes have reached the end of their shelf-life, IMHO, but his were always a good source of ideas.

Why? What is the reason for this person to be on TV? Did someone at channel 4 say "Right lads, we need a vacuous, annoying, stupid person for this show! Someone with no redeeming qualities whatsoever!"
Only reason I can think of, anyway.

Vordermann and MacCall. Fully dilated rage membrance whenever I so much as think about those vastly evil attention junkie prole-telly extermination candidates. That margerine ad with Vordermann. One of the most hateful things I've ever seen.

Actually, there is no such word as membrance. I meant to say 'membrane'. I hate them even more now.
