Just one word : TARKUS
Most of the rest can go. Never judge an artist by his/her average quality, it's the peaks that do it...

What music do YOU like???
Lupa Mirabilis, Serious Inquisitor Posted Oct 28, 1999
Okay, here goes: Duran Duran, Def Leppard, Depeche Mode...generally anything eighties although all of the above are still churning out great stuff to this date...Queen, Metallica, Rammstein, Oingo Boingo--and of course classical...mostly heavy hitters like Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, but also Bach and Vivaldi--and John Phillip Sousa...not exactly classical but terrific anyway.

I got a friend called Greebo, who has always wondered if Maurice was Jean-Michel's father... Thanks for answering that annoying question, I will tell her when I see her...

I like rock...and classical...not necessairily classic rock though. Some bands I like are Bush, Metallica, and the Beatles. Pachabell's Canon is a great piece!

Metallica still is! S&M proves it. My only complaint with S&M is that neither of the Unforgivens is on it.

That probably depends on where you choose to say it... e.g. A biker bar five minutes after their favourite football team have been relegated...

Well nowadays they may well have one of the Boys' songs as their personal motto... I know deathmetal fans who actually love the PSB...

PG IV definitely. Rhythm of the heat, San Jacinto, Shock the monkey, Big TIME, etcetera... I even wrote an article for my page on H2G2 - not the one about PG - quoting Wallflower so...
PG III is a good second because of : a) Kate Bush and b) Intruder, No Selfcontrol and most of all c) Family Snapshot...
Of course it's a bit of a ridiculous question when you talk about PG, what is his best... I know because I have this best-of syndrome quite frequently... Most of the time one can come up with a list but for some people/artists you just can't take your pick...
It's a bit like asking me what the best Genesis-songs are...ALL OF THEM Of Course...

you're absolutely right, of course. my favourites vary with the circumstances of life on any given day. most of my friends would tell you that when they hear "Solsbury Hill", they think of me, though. i can see no shame in that.@
What music do YOU like???
TowelMaster Posted Jan 18, 2000
Well Sols.Hill is a bit like the first Genesis-album, it's nice but it isn't really PG if you compare it to all the other work.
Maybe he had to get rid of the remaining Genesis-nanoprobes first...
No disrespect to G. of course...
Although I have played Solsbury Hill live several times...unplugged...

have you ever heard of an album called "The Recorder"? it was produced by some guys near where PG lives. it's quite old. there's a wonderful interview with PG, and he does three songs, including 'Ain't That Peculiar". i don't know anyone who's ever heard of it. i have the vinyl.@
