Fantastic We're really short on polishers who do work right now. A certain editor has been shouldering a disproportionately large load of the polishing work.

Some important things to read -

A1150147 - A Short History of the UG (useful, but not necessary)

A few important things to remember -
1- Don't take anything too seriously.
2- See number one
3- Knock before entering my office.
4- You can't have my job.

Basically, once you have everything all figgered up, email me using the hotmail address at U201497 (you can use the UG Eds email, but it's just a hassle to have to sign out, remember the password, get your email, sign back in...) and I'll send you an invite to the Yahoo Group. Then once you're in, I can email your friend and mine, Jimster the almighty and he can give you a badge.

It's purple.

right one more question then because i wasnt quite clear on it,
how do i know what needs polished?

There will be a notice on the UG Group probably called Allocations or some such. Generally, they'll say 'Attention Polishers', so read those.

Just one thing Jodan, neither of us have been invited to the group or anything. We understand that you're probably madly busy rushing around being important...but we won't be able to do anything if we aren't on the group.

Hey there . Jodan's gmail is playing up. Do you want to try the email link on U217987? I'm not 100% sure it works yet. It stopped working for some reason. I've updated it and tested it but it might be working for me because the address is already on the PC. Guinea pigs would be useful .

There's not an enormous amount of polishing waiting to be done right now because November's mining round was a bit thin. But after the December round there should be a batch of entries waiting.

You would be very welcome over at the Alternative Writing Workshop in the meantime. Contributers there are hungry for comment!
