If anyone can help me with a link to a picture on a 'reliable' site that would be great. Although this event was widely reported at the time, I have struggled to find information and pictures. Comments eagerly awaited...

I recall seeing this on the news! Ah...
thank you for the memories!
Great Entry! Sorry, can't help with the pic, although maybe there's something on the BBC News site about it?

I'm sure I vaguely remember this being reported on the local news at the time (I'd have been quite young and lived not that far from Norwich)
Are the chalk works there still open to the public or not? I can't remember visiting them
good article

Rains - Wondering where time's going and why it's in so much of a hurry! Posted Apr 6, 2006
article, I don't remember this at all but it certainly made me smile!
Only one very minor nitpick, though. "The tunnels, which can be found between .." would make a bit more sense to my slow brain if it mentioned that they were mining tunnels. I know you hint at the fact in the earlier paragraph, but on first reading my brain went .
But still, well done .

Crikey, even I remeber this - and I wasn't even in UK then. I remember getting a lot of flak being the token Brit (more because of the accent than anything else, I suspect) while living in Cleveland.

Although I am sure it was not funny to those on the bus, I laughed at the "cartoon" quality of it.
Brilliantly written - I love the intro

Genius entry! This is an entry that really does sum up the spirit of h2g2, truthful, informative, funny and totally totally random, perfect for the guide!

Oooh, people seem to like it...

No, they aren't. I realised that passage sounded like they were, so I've added a note.
Rains, done!
I've found some more tenuous links for pictures. They look like they are on a private blog, so I'm not sure if I could use them. I think the picture is essential, but I really would like to find one on a server that wont disappear, just in case this does make it into the Guide. I can't find any on BBC sites, but I'm sure my searching skills are not what they should be.

There's this wallpaper, but it's a bit ropey:

I looked at that, but rejected it because of the URL. I didn't want anyone thinking this was a hoax. Cheers for looking though, MJ

I hate to be a downer But the title is just copying the advertising gimmick by Cadbury, and I'm not sure the Beeb would allow it
I could be completely wrong though, but might be an idea to have something else at the ready in case its disallowed

I didn't miss it GB. I was going to link to it, but wasn't sure it was entirely relevant. The bus in Norwich wasn't a Routemaster. Should I add it anyway?
